We have a winner!!!

So our date was so perfect! He picked me up at 7:15 on the dot errrr... I think he did! I was running around trying to be ready I had had a busy, fun day! Trying to keep myself from thinking about what may come! Let’s be honest we all knew the kiss was coming right???

So we headed to the temple visitor’s center where they had an art exhibit of local artist it was amazing! Only one artist was I really familiar with. He read in Spanish as I read in English. After a few paintings he held my hand and sigh I was in heaven! We talked about the painting s and photographs and chose our favorites (we had the same ones)! When we finished there we walked around and looked at all the Book of Mormons in all the different languages I read from the one in Tagalog and he said the Book of Mormon in Tongan. It was cute! We then walked all around the temple and I mean all around!!! The weather was exactly why we live in Arizona it was gorgeous!!! His hands were cold all night but no worries mine are warm so we are a perfect match! We then sat on a bench and talked for some more! Total time at the temple was 2.5 hours it certainly didn’t seem that long!

We headed back to my place for more ice cream that was in my freezer! We ate and talked it is just easy. We have moments of silence but it is never awkward. So my dog’s new nick name is Mood killer! She is so annoying! So we are holding hands and she sees that as you can rub me too!!! So she tried getting in between us! Any ways during a moment of silence he is rubbing my finger a little differently and I could tell he was looking at me so I looked up at him and he moved in and I moved in and we kissed and then again. Just sweet little kisses. We then snuggled in closer and he put his head on mine and my heart was racing it was the best feeling!!! I didn’t want it to end but Mood killer did it! She walked across our laps then did one of her backward sneezes and boogers flew out! We were up! I got a tissue and wiped the couch down then we hugged and he kissed me again and he was gone! 

But it finally happened and it could not have been more perfect!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!3^rd date Friday night I repeat 3^rd date Friday night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So he doesn’t have it planned but he wants to take me out! So cute right!!!! Tonight at FHE I tried my hardest to not have any expectations! My matchmaker even called me to tell me just that! She said that he may just have held my hand and that was it or there may be more but I should not be expecting anything! She then said it will be tempting to just talk forever tonight but if the minute he seems not as interested or the conversation lags to end it. So he would think about what happened and want to talk more another time ect..

So I got to FHE and he wasn’t there and he always is there before me! 20 minutes pass and still no Ted. I just talked to everyone else a lot of my guy friends who do not come to FHE were there so it was fun. Well he showed up! I continued ot make my rounds and he finally came over we played some of he carnival games it was fun! We did a cupcake walk and the announcer said we had ot dance and he danced it was so cute I was not expecting him to do that! I am excited for the big dance next FHE with all 8 singles wards it is going to be a blast! Any ways so he and I chatted for probably an hour it was a lot of fun! I really like this kid a lot! He is fun, smart, easy on the eyes and so sweet!

Any ways I made the excuse of I needed to get to bed so he walked me to my car and he asked me out which then led to another 15 minute conversation about totally off the topic things! But we settled on Friday night and then we hugged…..sigh as we pulled away he held my hands a little longer….

This girl!!!!

I wanna hold your hand!

So Saturday morning my stake had a huge service project at a homeless resource center! We met at the church bright and early! I was worried about seeing Ted because our last encounter hadn’t been so great but I got on my knees and said a prayer on my way out the door for the Lord to assist me in being happy, flirty and fun with everyone.

Well I didn’t have to worry for long I was the first to get into Bishop’s suburban and Ted was right behind me. We chatted about the week’s events and all was well! We separated during the service project he wanted to do more manly things than I and I think that was good. I had a great time may have even made it on television….I need to look for that! We worked hard and were able to accomplish a lot for the shelter!

He ended up sitting in the front on the drive home but waited to talk to me when we went to our cars and just chatted about the rest of the day. My housemates were having a fall party that evening and I had asked one of them to be sure and invite Ted so I just asked if he was coming. I don’t think he had put it together that it was at my place till then so he was all excited and said he would definitely be there!

To tell you the truth I was dreading it all day. It meant another night of being “on”. I said a little prayer again. My matchmaker has been great at reminding me to always pray and my sister Kristen had given a talk a few months back that I have really tried to put into my life and the it is the belief that I can do all things through Christ and let me tell you it is sooooooo true!

The party was a lot of fun we had a nice turn out! We dipped caramel apples and chatted for a long time then we moved it outside and watched Corpse Bride. I think I did a great job of talking ot all the men at the party and being happy, flirty and fun! I was kinda getting down because Ted was well doing the same thing lol!

When I went outside all the seats out the door were filled and Ted was on the other side on a bench swing for two! I asked if I could join him and he said yes!

We sat super close from the beginning it was nice and we talked all close it was perfect! I worked up the courage to put my head on his shoulder and he in turn put his head on my head….sigh! Now to just get him to hold my hand right??? So after my poor hand was sitting out there in the cold forever I reached over with my hand that was furthest from him and held his arm next thing O know his fingers are interlaced in mine! Success! Butterflies were a fluttering in my stomach! We measured our hands to each other his are HUGE! Which was definitely something I noticed when we met and I love! He told me his grandfather’s hand when spread out from the tip of his thumb to the tip of his pinky is 12 inches he never needs a ruler when measuring a foot! Ted’s is about 11 inches all stretched out!

When the movie ended we stayed outside and chatted a little longer it was sweet he is so cute and I just loved being close to him.

We finally went inside and chatted with some more people, well I chatted and he waitined for me my housemates even talked ot him because they didn’t want him to leave before I was done talking. So I walked him out to his car and we hugged and as we pulled away we held onto each other’s hands a little longer it was sweet!

He texted me when he got home which really was a first and he said

“Thanks for inviting me tonight . I had a good time. Hope you sleep well.” Awwwwwww!

I know you are saying it!

Last night I barely slept! I blamed it on the anticipation of having to get up early to make cookies but lets be real I was so happy! No need for sleep when you are happy right?

He came and sat with me in Sacrament meeting. I love singing with him he sings all the parts it is quite entertaining sometimes he drags me down I am such a follower! We just sat super close the whole time. I met his sister and her fiancé in the hall on our way to Sunday school. She seemed really nice I have no idea if she knows who I am but I definitely felt her sizing me up!

After church he walked me to my car and gave me a hug! Yeah!

So I am thinking no friend zone!!! Yeah! But as my matchmaker said last night I have to let him continue to pursue me and make him see why he would want to continue! It is still not over but I love seeing the results of this really hard last month!

Happy, flirty and fun..........

Patience…..

I believe the past 12 years has been me learning this so called virtue and it may be for this very moment.

Monday night was not everything I had hoped for Ted was awkward I was grumpy but trying to be happy and now looking back I should have just stayed home. My matchmaker told me after Ted had gone home without saying goodbye that I am still to act he same and be happy, flirty and fun with everyone!

I am remaining positive but a girl must complain a little bit so many couples go on a first date and are inseparable let alone by the second date are the same….but not me! Oh well just gotta be happy, flirty and fun!

I can do hard things….right?

I don't wanna miss a thing!

I have 25 journals that I have filled over the years. I love(d) writing in my journal till now…

This has become my journal of sorts and looking back I wish I had saved all my drafts so I could print them out but live and learn. So since this is my journal I need to do some catching up for ya’ll.

Last Sunday I saw Mr. Ted at church but I did as the matchmaker told me and kept busy, happy and flirty this meant I did not get to talk to him other than “hello”. But I wasn’t worried because that night we had cookies and conversation a genius Sunday night social created by none other than Mel! Any who so I went and I flirted and walked around the boy talking to everyone I could. I tell ya being so social is hard work and exhausting but worth it! So I was sitting in the Arizona room enjoying the company I was with laughing extra loud and smiling extra big and he came! We had a fun conversation that night it was fantastic! I found out he bakes bread or did as a kid that is how the kids would earn some money. So cute right? We realized we both played the trombone in high school and we both love to sing.

So side note if I had a list of the man of my dreams I always wanted one that can sing and really haven’t dated many that could…just sayin it is a nice bonus!

I could not have had a better night and I worked on touching him as we talked. I have  a hard time with that I really have to think about it!

The next night was FHE I drove with the girls that live in the house below my apartment. Did it again talked to other looked happy, busy and flirty and like a moth to a flame he came again! We had a great night we talked to a couple people near us but mostly just us. We realized that I know his step mom from a place I used to work. I think I even remember her getting married to Ted’s dad. Small world!

I started doubting Monday night that maybe we were getting in the “friend zone” I know it to well and I started to freak. I texted my matchmaker and told her we needed to talk before Saturday she assured me we would. So the week goes by and I never heard from him and I felt like he would never call.

Friday night I am driving home from Cate’s house. I had spent most the morning cleaning my apartment and trying to get in order. The way it is set up is to get to the bathroom you have to go through my bedroom and I knew if I ever wanted to invite someone over my room had to be clean J so goo motivation. Any ways after lunch with my adorable preggos cousin I went to Cate’s then was taking my time getting back home ot finish the job when I got a phone call …..from TED!!! I didn’t answer! Never answer the phone on a Friday night when it is from a boy. You must seem like you are busy and not sitting around waiting for his call. Which I was pretty busy and definitely not sitting around. I texted the matchmaker to be sure I did the right thing she told me I was awesome and did good., She then said to call him back in the morning and keep it short. I called him back around 9 am and no answer and then he never called me back I was devastated! The ward had a temple session at 2:30pm I knew he was going to be there so I was nervous but the matchmaker just said her same solid advise be happy, busy and flirty! On my way to the temple I sang a bunch of hymns and prayed for happiness because I wanted to be sad he hadn’t called me back but I trusted the matchmaker and I knew she was on my side.

The session was wonderful! Ted was in the Celestial room first he was all the way on the other side I went over the the Bishopric and their wives and hugged them and other members of the ward filtered over fortunately they were being fun and happy so I was able to be all smiles and over he came! After everyone trickled away it was just us he told me had gone hiking that morning and had been out of range all morning. He got my message as he was pulling up to the temple. He then asked me if I would like to go to dinner with him before the baptism that evening. He was so cute just all smiles!

We met outside he temple and again all smiles it was adorable! We dropped my car off then we went to Chipotle which apparently is both of our favorites! I seriously eat there 2 to 3 times a week!

We had great conversation we talked a lot about out missions. Missions are so fantastic because even though we went to different places it is the same because we were doing the Lord’s work! He served In Chilie. We went to the baptism which was awesome I love baptisms so much! They help me refocus in my own life and recognize the beauty of the gospel!

After wards they had refreshments but Ted said he wanted ice cream! We ended up going ot Albertson and picked out mint chocolate chip and brought it back to my place! He didn’t stay too long he was beat from the hike but it was a wonderful 2^nd date. I like that the dates are kept short I think it leaves us both wanting more!

He asked if he should take the ice cream or leave it here and I told him if he leaves it here he has to come back to eat it with me and he chose the latter! We then promised each other we would go to choir if the other one did!

This morning we both went to choir! I sat with him before church started till I had to sit on the stand for my talk.

So needless to say things are exciting! A little slow but good! I can’t wait to see him tomorrow night at family home evening we are carving pumpkins and it should be a fun!!!!!!!

Sorry my blogs are getting longer and longer! But I don’t wanna miss a thing!
